Fairy Tales, added a title of Baum’s own fiction to our growing library in 1969. Then Ruth Thompson agreed to our publication of her Oz manuscript, Yankee in Oz -- our first foray into original Oz fiction. Our signature book, Bibliographia Oziana, was originally produced in 1976 to serve as a collector’s guide to Oz books.
The Oz Club became a publisher in 1962 with Dick Martin’s detailed whimsical maps of Oz. Relying on their own creative and financial resources, early Club members soon produced slim soft-cover publications, such as an essay collection and an early Baum Bugle compilation that made past-issue content available to new members.
