Our Spring issue begins with a trip to Brazil, exploring Baum’s first pseudonymous novel The Fate of a Crown in articles on the origins of his understanding of Brazil and a newspaper serialization illustrated by Oz-collaborator John R. Neill. Also featured are the Wonderful Witches of Oz, in a research paper by the same name, in an essay about Billie Burke and “The Incredible Makeover of Glinda, the Good Witch of the North,” in a memoir about a child’s correspondence with Margaret Hamilton, and in a reprint of a rare letter from her to Ray Bolger.

This issue was mailed to members in late May 2010.
