For Writers…

The editors of Oziana are eager to consider new stories and poems about Oz and its surrounding countries. Contributors do not have to be members of the International Wizard of Oz Club to submit their work or be published.

Oziana is open to many interpretations of Oz, with these provisos:

•While we can publish stories featuring characters from any Oz book published by Reilly & Britton/Reilly & Lee, we cannot publish stories inspired by the 1939 MGM movie or other copyrighted versions of Oz without the author supplying permission from the holders of those copyrights.

•Readers must be able to enjoy the stories in Oziana without having to read other fan fiction to understand the characters or finish the story. We are happy to publish an extract of an unpublished Oz novel as long as it has been adapted into a standalone short story.

Oziana is intended for readers of all ages.

We work closely with authors on making their work as enjoyable for readers as it can be. Because each magazine has limited space, and we hope to publish a variety of material, we rarely publish stories of more than 9,000 words. We may ask to hold a story for a future issue where it might be a better fit.
