Join members of the International Wizard of Oz Club as we gather in Aberdeen, South Dakota, to explore the city L. Frank Baum once called home. From our opening reception Thursday evening through Sunday afternoon you can expect exhibits, presentations, performances, meals and more. We’ll visit sites tied to Baum’s years in Aberdeen, join the community’s Storybook Festival, and follow the Yellow Brick Road in Wylie Park. The K.O. Lee Public Library, home to an impressive L. Frank Baum Collection, will be our home base for the weekend with presentations held in their auditorium. Thursdays opening reception and Friday and Saturday dinners/evening programming will be held at the Aberdeen Recreation and Cultural Center, just across the street from the library.

Aberdeen has limited airline service from Minneapolis; if you plan to fly in, we encourage you to book as soon as possible. If you’re willing to rent a car and drive a few hours, consider the Sioux Falls or other small airports in South Dakota.
